I seem to be on a learning kick. What’s the difference between learning and growth?

Here’s what I’ve been thinking about and set out to learn for myself. Learning and growth are related concepts, but they do have distinct meanings.

Learning: Learning typically refers to the acquisition of knowledge, skills, or understanding through study, experience, or being taught. It involves the process of gaining new information, insights, or abilities. Learning can occur in various forms, such as formal education, informal experiences, or even through trial and error. It's often a conscious effort to absorb and internalize new information or skills.

Growth: Growth, on the other hand, encompasses a broader concept that includes not only learning but also personal development and improvement over time. It can refer to progress in various aspects of life, including emotional, intellectual, physical, or spiritual dimensions. Growth implies positive change, advancement, and expansion beyond one's current state. It may involve building upon existing knowledge and skills, but it also encompasses personal transformation, increased self-awareness, and the development of character or values.

Got it. That brief research of mine brought me immediately to horizontal and vertical development. What’s that? Stay tuned.
