Give your people the ability to begin their journey

What I like to give to my audience is a way forward. To understand that it’s possible to develop their skills at any time - to show data driven results, share stories of leaders that grew and achieved their goals, provide information that will inspire and inform.”

Paula Halewski

When Paula was hired to speak at a trade show, the sponsor planned for 50 participants in the audience. 150 people came.

Countering Mind Traps

Mindsets are often spoken about. Mindsets in connection with habits or behaviors to be specific. Mindsets can be quite helpful – a positive mindset, a coaching mindset… Every action and interaction shapes organizational culture. To truly emphasize a positive workplace culture, unique ideas, perspectives, experiences, and people must be embraced. Thus, personal preparation is necessary. One person, with clarity of purpose and a willingness to speak their authentic self, can deeply impact humanization, belonging, and culture.

“The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.” Carl Rogers

Sometimes, because we’re human, mindsets can become mind traps; traps that can lead to behaviors that hinder relationships, agility, empathy, and desired outcomes in the workplace and elsewhere. These traps can be named, explained, and changed. Sometimes you’re aware of them, sometimes not – a blind spot. If you’ve noticed something simply gets in your way, let’s identify it and deplete its power source so it doesn’t deplete you. This seminar is a wonderful place to start.

During the one-hour seminar, you’ll:

  1. Understand and recognize mind traps and their effects.

  2. Collect tools to aid changing traps and affiliated behaviors.

  3. Develop emotional intelligence and agility on countering mind traps.

When We Talk About a Leader’s Presence, What does that Really Mean?

The presentation was done at the University of Rochester Simon Business School for the Simon Women’s Alliance.

Leadership presence is the ability of a leader to project a compelling and influential image that inspires and engages others. It involves a combination of both verbal and nonverbal communication skills, as well as the ability to establish credibility, demonstrate confidence, and connect with others effectively. A leader’s presence is crucial for gaining trust and respect, and it can significantly impact a leader's ability to motivate and influence their team or organization.

What’s a leader’s presence really about? A leader’s presence is about the person. You may have position power based on your title. However, it’s your personal power, what is within you, that creates the leader and your presence.

This 40 minute presentation focuses on helping leaders understand and create their personal power.
