Hero?

What’s the difference between a hero and a leader? A leader pats others on the back; a hero pats their own back. Leader lead by listening in the trenches; heroes stand on a pedestal expecting all to admire them from a far. Leaders are inclusive and ask for ideas and help; heroes think themselves indispensable because they believe they have all the answers. Leaders are connected to those they lead and wants to hear opposing points of view; heroes are disconnected and surround themselves with yes-men/women. Leaders are authentic; heroes are figments of their own imagination. Who do the best of the best follow? Leaders.
