What’s the big deal with Positive Psychology? Part Five

The last few weeks, I’ve been writing about Positive Psychology – a large contributing factor to our coaching practice here at LIV.

Today’s topic – Give and Take.

Giving creates more meaning in life, while taking can increase happiness in the present. However, it is possible to create a meaningful yet happy existence by giving back to others while showing gratitude and accepting people's kindness.

Giving back to others provides a sense of purpose and fulfillment. It allows us to make a positive impact on the world around us. By helping others and contributing to something larger than ourselves, we experience a sense of connection and belonging that can enhance our overall well-being and happiness.

At the same time, it is important to acknowledge that taking can also increase happiness in the present. Taking care of our own needs and desires can provide us with pleasure and satisfaction, which also contributes to our well-being and happiness.

To create a meaningful yet happy existence, it is important to find a balance between giving and taking. By giving back to others while showing gratitude and accepting people's kindness, we can create a sense of purpose and connection while also experiencing happiness and satisfaction in the present.

What would this look and feel like if your leadership?
