Leader Mindset - Part 1
Often, I get asked to talk about, and coach, on mindset. Over the next few posts, I’ll share some of my thoughts.
Mindset is an important aspect of leadership. We can easily get caught up in the day to day of ‘getting things done,’ which is necessary of course, however leaders need to focus on themselves – the inside. You’re the guide, model, and mentor so your mindset matters. Each post will build of the others.
The Four Cs = Confidence, Courage, Conviction, and Calm:
• Confidence: belief in yourself and your powers and abilities.
• Courage: the quality of mind or spirit that enables a person to face difficulty, perceived danger; to act in accordance with one's beliefs, especially despite criticism or fear.
• Conviction: a firm belief. Believe in mutually respectful professional relationships, building productive work environments, mentoring staff to succeed, guiding organizations to prosper.
• Calm: freedom from motion or disturbance; stillness. Composed, dignified, and self-assured. Poised.
The Four Cs ground you.
