Habits

Habits are not good or bad. They just are. We can’t stop them, but we can change them.

Changing a habit is hard work. It takes self-awareness and practice — and failure. But it’s worth it because habits shape who you are, what you do and how successful you are in life.

You might think that habits are hard to break because they happen without your conscious mind taking over — but that’s not true! Habits start small and grow stronger over time as you repeat them over and over again. You could say that we create our own habits by being consistent with our actions over time until those actions turn into mindless behavior. That’s why it takes time for new habits to form — but once they do, they become automatic and require less effort on your part to maintain them.
